Peers Rate Balin Law Attorneys as “Super Lawyers” a 3rd Consecutive Year

December 8, 2022

For the 3rd year in a row, Balin Law’s principal attorney Paulette Balin and appellate attorney Matthew Shupe have both been peer-nominated and selected as “Super Lawyers”. Super Lawyers is a rating service for lawyers who have attained a high-degree of peer recognition and professional achievement. Less than 5% of lawyers in a state receive the rating each year.

Shupe made the Super Lawyers’ “Rising Stars” list for a 9th consecutive year; a distinction given only to attorneys age 40 or younger or in practice for less than 10 years, and to no more than 2.5% of lawyers statewide.

Super Lawyers, a Thomson Reuters business, is a rating service of outstanding lawyers from more than 70 practice areas who have attained a high degree of peer recognition and professional achievement. The annual selections are made using a patented multiphase process that includes a statewide survey of lawyers, an independent research evaluation of candidates and peer reviews by practice area. The result is a credible, comprehensive and diverse listing of exceptional attorneys.

The following graphic outlines the intensive nomination and selection process used in the Super Lawyers rating system, with additional information published on the Super Lawyers website.

The Super Lawyers lists are published nationwide in Super Lawyers Magazines and in leading city and regional magazines and newspapers across the country. Super Lawyers Magazines also feature editorial profiles of attorneys who embody excellence in the practice of law.

Attorneys Balin and Shupe’s dedication to their work and to our clients is extraordinary and we are so proud to see it recognized with these distinctions.
