Hello, my name is Melissa Yasinow, and I’m an attorney at Balin Law. In this video, we are going to talk about what it means to have Long COVID and how Balin Law can help COVID long haulers get the disability benefits they deserve.

Since the global pandemic exploded in March 2020, over 80 million Americans have caught COVID-19. Although many people can, and have, recovered from this virus, millions have struggled with ongoing, new or returning health problems. Studies suggest that anywhere between 10 and 50% of people infected with COVID-19 will go on to develop health problems in the weeks and months after infection. And unfortunately, some of those long haulers will not be able to return to work because of their disability.

There is no one-size-fits-all approach to Long COVID. Although some studies suggest that middle-aged women are the ones most likely to develop Long COVID, it can happen to anyone, regardless of race, sex or age. In fact, Long COVID can even happen to people with only mild cases of COVID who never had to go to the hospital.

Long COVID can impact just about any part of your body and present with a dizzying array of physical and mental symptoms. Each case of long COVID is unique. However, here are some common long COVID symptoms.
