PRESS RELEASE
Balin Law, LLC has announced the opening of a Columbus, Ohio office location to better serve clients in central and southern Ohio. In addition, Balin Law’s new office is in close physical proximity to the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of Ohio. Earlier this year, Balin Law appellate attorney Matthew Shupe was asked by the Chief Judge of the United States District Court for the Southern District of Ohio to participate in an Ad Hoc Committee.
The Chief Judge tasked Committee members with providing feedback and observations on a new process aimed at expediting Social Security Appeals at the federal court. “I’m honored to be involved and to interact more with the federal judiciary,” said Shupe regarding his role on the Committee.
On the decision to open a new office in southern Ohio, the firm’s founding principal attorney Paulette Balin explains that there were multiple signs pointing toward Columbus. “Our involvement with the Federal Court Bench/Bar and our substantial client base in the greater Columbus area/Southern District of Ohio served as a catalyst to open an office to better service our clients in the area,” stated Balin. The U.S. District Court for the Southern District of Ohio serves over 5 million citizens, covering 48 of Ohio’s 88 counties.

The new office is located in downtown Columbus’s Brewery Tower at 500 S. Front St., Suite 1200 B, adjacent to the prominent Columbus law firm of Crabbe, Brown & James LLP. This is Balin Law’s 10th office location. The Columbus office will be open by appointment only.
